Clan Black and Tan
Our concept “Clan Black and Tan”, included traveling Black & Tan Brigade teams comprised of bagpipers and samplers. This promotion was developed as a way to promote Bass Pale Ale on and around St. Patrick’s Day, while taking market share from Guinness. We executed this promotion in 80 markets across the U.S. utilizing some of the top competitive pipers. One of the best elements of this program was the development of the Brolly…the newest Black & Tan tool we designed from scratch, to make pouring a Black and Tan easier, while keeping the Bass brand front and center. The promotional Black & Tan wooden box kit was delivered to members of the press across the U.S. to create buzz. To date, consumers and bars have received over 50,000 Brollys.
We were approached by successful German shoemakers, Sebastian and Christoff Baer, to help them enter the U.S. Market. Leveraging their 35 years in the shoe business, and the Baer brand equity across Europe, we dug deep into all aspects of their U.S. entry, including pricing, shoe design, branding, sales, fulfillment and all other components needed for success.
Walk of Fame
In conjunction with the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame, Anheuser-Busch’s Community Affairs department asked us to create a traveling display that would share the breakthrough contributions of 38 select civil rights leaders with audiences at various events throughout the country.
We created an interactive exhibit that was both educational and entertaining, incorporating touch screen technology, background scrims, original illustrations of each of the honorees featured on graphic panels, as well as 60-second videos for each, and kiosks that would securely contain the actual shoes worn by civil rights leaders such as Rosa Parks, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, President Bill Clinton and Stevie Wonder, among others.
We were tasked with developing brand direction for a new Anheuser-Busch beer being brewed in China. Our direction was to concept and develop a brand ideation for a new beer that was unknown. With a wide open field, we honed in on the tagline “The Secret is Out” and proceeded to produce POS, outdoor signage, print ads, recipe booklets…the list goes on. We also produced several events for Harbin including an event in New York celebrating Chinese New Year.
When Ralcorp approached us to completely redesign their long-trusted RyKrisp package, we knew the pressure was on! We had to make sure that with a new design we didn’t lose all the loyal brand enthusiasts and yet were still able to speak to the younger generation and grow the brand.
